Information to Help You Complete the Following Fields -
Type of Membership
There are two options presented when you come to fill in the 'Type of Membership' field, namely -
Full Membership,
Discounted Membership
You must select one that best describes your usage of Congleton U3A.
Full Membership
The majority of members of Congleton U3A will be Full Members.
You may join any number of Groups which have vacancies available.
Discounted Membership
Choose this Membership Type if ALL your Group memberships will be classed as 'Discounted' (DISC).
You will only be able to join Groups which do not use venues paid for by Congleton u3a and which are listed as Discounted Groups. Goto Top of page
Secondary Telephone Number and Contact Name
Enter a 'Secondary Telephone Number' and 'Secondary Contact Name' if you wish to nominate someone who can be contacted in case of an emergency, involving yourself, occurring while you are participating in a Congleton U3A activity. Goto Top of page
Ex-Directory Telephone Numbers
Select YES to 'Ex-Directory', next to a telephone number, if you wish that telephone number to be regarded by the Membership Secretary as being ex-directory. Goto Top of page
I have an Email Buddy
Select YES to 'I have an Email Buddy' if you do not have your own email address and have agreed with a friend or relative to use their email address to communicate with Congleton u3a.
Ensure you have also entered your friend's or relative's email address in the 'your Email Address' box. Goto Top of page
Gift Aid
Select YES to 'Gift Aid' if you are an Income and/or Capital Gains Tax payer and wish Congleton U3A to be able to reclaim 25p on every £1 of your Membership contributions. Goto Top of page
National Trust Member
Select YES to 'National Trust Member' if you are a member of the National Trust (anywhere within the United Kingdom - England, Scotland, or Wales) and wish to take advantage of any offers that may occur while on a Congleton U3A outing to any National Trust property. Goto Top of page
English Heritage or Cadw Member
Select YES to 'English Heritage' or 'Cadw Member' if you are a member of English Heritage, or of Cadw in Wales, and wish to take advantage of any offers that may occur while on a Congleton U3A outing to any building, monument or site run by either of these organisations. Goto Top of page
Disability Awareness
Select YES to the 'Disability Awareness' question and provide a short description of the disability, if you wish other Congleton U3A Members, particularly your Group Leaders, to be aware of the disability.
For instance, it may be useful if you require wheelchair access to be considered while on a Congleton U3A outing. Goto Top of page
