Discussion 2026/2027


Group Description :
Discussion Group meetings are held once monthly on the third Monday of a month from 1.30pm until 3pm (however we do not meet in December). Topics are chosen in advance. A member or guest speaker will introduce the topic to be discussed by members (political, technology, environment etc.). Local interest matters, which members wish to mention, can be discussed in a shorter time span prior to the main topic.  Members are encouraged to contribute their opinions, participate in a spirit of good debate, and to suggest ideas for future discussion.  We are a friendly group that enjoys learning by engaging with individual members knowledge, views and experience.

Physical Access

a) The entrance has 3x 15cm(6inches) deep steps up to it.

There are handrails on both sides.

There are no contrast strips at the step edge. 

b) There is a 6m(20ft) long ramp with handrails on both side and a flat space at the top. 

c) The entrance door is not automatic opening.

The internal doors are easy to open.

There are ten disabled spaces, approx. up to 20m(66ft) to the entrance.

There is sufficient room in a disabled parking space to open a door widely for a wheelchair.
