Gentle Yoga and Mindfulness 25/26

Group Description :
Anne Tanner has practised yoga for over 25 years. She is professionally trained in Inner yoga – which involves movement from the core of our being. The body has an inner intelligence, and it knows how it needs to move. Inner yoga takes the classical asanas, along with yoga philosophy and spirituality - teaching them in a way that can transform the body, mind and emotions, touching the heart of our being. This teaching asks you to be open, to experiment, to practice and to take yoga into your life. When yoga is taken in this spirit, it brings you the ability to remedy all sorts of imbalances in the body, mind and spirit. Anyone can practice, no matter what age, ability, flexibility or gender. The class will consist of gentle yoga postures taught in a way that makes them accessible to all - with plenty of support and modifications. The class will also contain mindfulness meditations that support and help us live our lives in greater awareness, with acceptance and compassion. 'The practice of yoga is the commitment to become established in the state of freedom.' Patanjali 1:13 (Translation - Alastair Shearer).
