Sugar Craft 25/26


Group Description :
Members with little or no previous experience in this craft are most welcome. This course is designed for committed beginners and the more experienced sugar-crafter The group will share and build on the skills and knowledge of techniques previously acquired, with particular emphasis on floral creations. Members will be encouraged to use artistic flair and imagination to produce their own designs. Absolute beginners wishing to join the sugar craft group are very welcome. New beginners will be able to borrow an equipment kit within class initially while they decide if they would like to join us. Gradually buying their own equipment as they continue in class. We all work together as a group, sharing our knowledge, ideas and expertise. For examples of the work of the group please see the U3A Picture Gallery. Members of the Year 25/26 will be given priority but there are expected to be 10 places available.

Physical Access

a) The entrance has 3x 15cm(6inches) deep steps up to it.

There are handrails on both sides.

There are no contrast strips at the step edge. 

b) There is a 6m(20ft) long ramp with handrails on both side and a flat space at the top. 

c) The entrance door is not automatic opening.

The internal doors are easy to open. 


Toilet Facilities

a) There are accessible toilets identified.

b) There is sufficient space adjacent to the toilet for a wheelchair user to slide across. 

c) There are grab rails.

d) The washbasins etc. are at a suitable height. 

e) There is an alarm cord that reaches the floor.

a) There is no public transport within 50m (164ft). 

b) The venue has car parking or there is parking within 50m (164ft).

There are ten disabled spaces, approx. up to 20m(66ft) to the entrance.

There is sufficient room in a disabled parking space to open a door widely for a wheelchair.

a) The room has no two hearing loops installed.

There are no instructions for their use.
