Group Description :
20 sessions in total - The ability to recognise lip shapes, gestures and facial movements to gain a better understanding of what a person is saying can be a vital skill if you are experiencing hearing difficulties. This friendly and supportive group has the benefit of an experienced and qualified, retired Lipreading practitioner to support group learning and practice. Term 1 is 8 sessions, starting 30th September Term 2 is 6 sessions, start date in Jan/Feb to be confirmed Term 3 is 6 sessions starting 14th April The cost per session will be a maximum of £3.50, payment is paid per term on the first week of term, in cash.

a) The entrance has no steps up to it. 

b) There is no ramp.

c) The entrance door is not automatic opening.

The internal doors are easy to open.


Toilet Facilitiesa) There are accessible toilets, with room for a wheelchair user to slide across, there are grab rails, washbasin at suitable height. Alarm cord does not reach the floor.

There are six disabled spaces, approx. 20m(66ft) to the entrance.

There is sufficient room in a disabled parking space to open a door widely for a wheelchair.


Accoustic Featuresthere is a hearing loop but not instructions for its use. Library staff are available to help with this.
